i stand on the threshold of something big...i know not what it is as yet...and that is the adventure...a surprise awaits me...it is a promise to be kept in my future...
my heart is full of joy and acceptance...i know that i am growing and stretching myself beyond any self-limiting beliefs i once held as truth...i am trusting that God will hold my hand and lead the way...

a dolphin comes during my prayer...
Every situation is perfect the way it is. Every circumstance offers you a lesson that will help you become the person you're capable of being. What will you do? It's your decision as to how you handle it, Marianne Williamson says.
When you deliberately seek positive aspects of whatever you are
giving your attention to, you, in a sense, tune your vibrational tuner to
more positive aspects of everything. And, of course, you could tune yourself
negatively as well. But as you are deliberately looking for positive
aspects in yourself or in others, you will find more of those things:
"The better it gets, the better it gets," for you get more and more of
what you are thinking about whether you want it or not. --Abraham

the courage to stand in my own truth...
for those of us in the midst of realizing that our plans for ourselves may be different from those of our destiny….life can be confusing, exciting, terrifying, enthralling…and more than a little off balance…so I ask for the ancient path…and walk in it…
“Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient path, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.” (Jeremiah 6:16)
“There are so many opportunities available to you in your world. All you need to do is be open to see them. Complaining about life and your circumstances blinds you to what is right in front of your eyes – and that is the possibility of you being “in-charge” of your life and not your complaints running it for you” -Yvonne Rice
this is a big one for me as i am struggling between trying to control everything and letting go and letting God be in control…and i am not even sure how to do this…
i remain conflicted…i know God helps those who help themselves and i also know i need to get out of the way and let God work…but i am unsure exactly how…how to get out of His way…
any suggestions?

if God brings you to it he'll bring you through it...
a beloved friend said this to me today...another friend told me i could not keep open a door God has closed...that's been me for a long time now...trying to hold open a door God closed...
For those feeling alone on their journey...
"God, I don't understand why you're allowing me to feel distant from you right now, but I trust that you will always do what is best for me. So I place my prayer life in your hands, and I accept whatever it is you wish to do with it. " Mark E. Thibodeaux, God, I Have Issues
from Neale Donald Walsh's I believe God wants you to know today...
....that the sage awakes to light in the night of all creatures. That which the world calls day is the night of ignorance to the wise.
The Bhagavad Gita says that, and it is right. This scripture means that when all creatures are living in the illusion of darkness, the sage sees things as they really are, and awakes to that vision, praising the perfection. Conversely, what the world calls "day" (or "bright" or "real") is an illusion...the "night of ignorance"...to the wise person who sees how pointless and worthless the shiny stuff of life that most people seek truly is.
Peer deeply into the darkness, then, and you will see the light. Yet turn away from the brightness of what others call "day", for they mistake the bright for the good.

sweet tweet book auction on ebay...
This project began with a call for artists and when all was said and done, over 70 responses came in to Random Arts and our"premade" envelopes went out to each one. In that envelope was a single die cut bird image and a single die cut, handmade paper red heart. Each participant had complete liberty to use these two items (or not) to create a 5" x 7" journal page that we would eventually bind into a book and auction it on eBay for a good cause. Well, the good
cause came to us through one of our teachers, Louise Mc Clure of Saluda. She suggested that we consider Arts For Life North Carolina as our "good cause".
Arts For Life is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives and healthcare experiences of children and adolescents battling cancer and other serious illnesses. Arts For Life helps children all day everyday in four cities across North Carolina. AFL’s staff members and volunteers teach the arts to patients for over 300 hours each week. We work with more than 2,500 patients annually. Our visual art, creative writing, and music programs decrease patient stress and anxiety, keep patients active and engaged, and help families cope with the realities of illness.
That was enough for us to proceed with the focus of our efforts for this fund raiser. For those of you who do not know, our last book with 72 contributors sold for $500, and the entire amount went to the Saluda, North Carolina Senior Center.
Now the time has come for each of us who participated in creating this book to have the opportunity to bid on this "one of a kind" artist collaborative. In this case, our "book" is now a 2 volume set due to the size of the pages and the amount of contributors. That means you are not only bidding on ONE book but TWO!!! So, it's 2 for the price of 1!!! Please bid with both your "art" heart and your "compassionate" heart for the kids.
Pages from our books have been viewed by many, on our blog starting last October, and running through the end of last year. This year we added to the excitement by creating a "traveling" exhibit by taking 3 gigantic board walls from the shop to Inspired Artist Retreat in Concord, NC. Talk about excitement! Over 300 attendees applauded our efforts and took notes, pictures and asked a multitude of questions on various techniques on each of the pages. It was fun for all of us to show off your work to all in attendance there in Concord.
Thank you all so much for bidding.

along comes Neale Donald Walsch
I Believe God Wants You To Know by Neale Donald Walsch
On this day of your life, dear friend, I believe God wants you to know....
..that the greatest enemy of individual freedom is the individual himself.
Saul Alinsky said that, and he was right. In almost every case, nothing is stopping you, nothing is holding you back but your own thoughts about yourself and about "how life is."
Your personal freedom to experience yourself and life as you wish is not being limited. Step into your choices and stop telling yourself that you can't, when what you really mean is that you don't want other people to feel the way you think that are going to feel when they see you making the choices you really want to make. Got it?
Every morning I receive a note from Neale Donald Walsch. Do you see a pattern in the messages this week? I BeLieVe God is thumping me on the head!!!

along came Marianne Williamson
from Oprah.com
MiracleThought: What Does Weariness Mean?
"Weariness means you're hanging onto something--it's time to let go. Shed your old skin and grow a new one. There's an old world falling down all around us, making way for the new," Marianne Williamson says. Hear the podcast.
Is there a spirit of weariness upon us?
we are all weary of being who we have been longer than we should have been...it is not longer appropriate to do so...you are holding on to something it is time to let go of...it is time to be reborn into something new...
it is no longer useful to hang out in weariness...to be the person i used to be...it's over!!! let die what needs to die...let be born now what is begging to be born...
be today who you were not yesterday...that you shall be tomorrow who you were born to be!!!

along comes Ali Brown
from ali magazine June/July issue page 121 by ali brown...
This purpose is your destiny. You know it because you've shared it with me. Your playing small denies God, who created you. It also denies all the other people in the world who you are meant to help in this lifetime. If you stay where you are and keep covering up your greatness, they will never be influenced by your teachings. You are not only hurting yourself, but all those people who will never be graced by your inspiration.

along comes David Neagle's newsletter...
David NeagleI just had a great conversation with a friend who was telling me about some business associates who have had a complete turn around on their dream.
A few months ago, they were enthusiastic and on fire for their future. Unfortunately, they didn't keep their mental doors locked ... and something negative slipped in, and they dropped the pursuit of their dream.
All failure begins this way.
People may have high hopes, but when their perceived circumstances suggest a lesser outcome is more likely (perhaps via an unexpected obstacle), this perceived discrepancy becomes the initial seed of failure.
Being unaware of how this process destroys the dreams of countless people, they fall victim to its seduction.
Take a look at what happens and how this process works:
1. We all have two parts in our thinking: One is our dream or goal, and the second is the belief that it might not ever happen. This is where most people start out.
2. Next, something begins to spark or inspire a person to take action on their dream. (Yet, not having a full understanding of the Laws of Success, they are actually moving in the direction of their dream with a great deal of ignorance. Ignorance is not necessarily a bad thing, as long as a person stays open to what he/she must learn along the way. The problem is many individuals are not open to growth and change.)
3. Their subconscious manifests an obstacle to keep them from experiencing anything "new". This new challenge is perceived as a point of failure.
It is at this point in a person's journey where moving forward becomes too painful or fearful, and a person usually chooses to stay "safe". The truth, however, is that this is also the point where moving forward would allow a person to see the bigger win they are hoping for!
You see, YOUR beliefs control your perception of everything in your world, which in turn creates your reality. If you want to change your reality, you must use new information to change your beliefs AND your perception. Until you see things differently, you will continue to makes choices that keep you where you are. And eventually, you will give up on your dreams.
In other words, your experiences reflect your belief system. This means that if there is anything in your life you don't want to experience all you need to do to change "it" is to change the belief that caused "it" in the first place!
In theory, it's really simple ... but in practice, many people find it difficult because they really don't understand all beliefs are nothing but illusions anyway. But these illusions are so strong people think that they are real when actually they are not.
The power of belief is astounding. I encourage you to study its mysteries for yourself and see what changes you truly do have the power to make.
